WTF Moment of the week: Kazuma and Majima clothes in PSO2

Ok, this is, at least, unexpected.
In a new cross-over between Phantasy Star Online 2 and other owned series, SEGA will include clothes from Ryu Ga Gotoku in its popular MMORPG. As we can see at the trailer below, you will be able to look like Kazuma/Sakamoto Ryoma(from RGG Ishin!) or Majima(on his tradicional clothes/appearence).

Other series, like Valkyria Chronicles, will also appear. The conttent will be available in June, but we don't have any information for how long. We will keep you guys updated on any new information about this.

Thanks to Manta Oyamada, owner of our partner PSO2Up! by sharing the video and info.

This news isn't so WTF, I was just in the mood to use a new meme :D

BREAKING NEWS: A NEW GAME FROM THE YAKUZA TEAM IS ALREADY BEING MADE!

The team behind the Yakuza series is already at work on a new game, as Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama and Director Daisuke Sato told the Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation in an interview published on the latest issue.
When asked about their next project, Sato-san mentioned that they’re already “working hard” on it. Yokoyama-san followed with a joke, mentioning that they’re salarymen, so they can’t really remain idle without doing anything. Sato-san then concluded by saying that he thinks they’ll be able to announce something about it  by the end of the year.
No details were given about what exactly they’re working on, so we don’t know whether it’s a new chapter of the Yakuza franchise or something entirely different, but if you love the Yakuza series, at least now you know that the folks behind it are hard at work on something new.

*Edit: Sorry guys, I was so excited about the news that I didn't realized. They are 'working on something', not necessarily an Yakuza Game. Sorry about that.

On its second week, RGG Ishin! maintain strong sales

After a really good start, with more than 220k units sold on its first week, Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin! maintain strong sales on its second week.

According to MediaCreate, the PS3 version of the game sold 54k units, appearing on the 4th position of the chart, while the PS4 version sold more than 22.4 k units, appearing on the 8th position of the chart.

Combining the sales of both versions, the game sold more than 76.6k units this week, totaling 297.3k units since the first week.

As we said on our previous post, this numbers just count the physical sold units. To have a precise analysis on the situation, we need to wait the official numbers from SegaSammy Financial Report, that should be released in May 2014. Stay tuned to Tojo HQ to any news or updates about that numbers!

RGG Ishin! sells more than 220k units on its first week!

According to MediaCreate, Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin! sold more than 220k units on its first week. 138k physical units of the PS3 version were sold, while more than 82k units of the PS4 version were sold at the same period. VGChartz.com diverges at the numbers of the PS4 version, saying that 78k units were sold.

The game was the Global Best Seller of the week in the PS3 side, while it was the 2nd Global Best Seller in the PS4 side, losing just to Knack, still according to VGChartz.

Although it may seem a weaker start near the 360k units sold in the first week of Yakuza 5, note that RGG Ishin! is a Spin-Off and we are in the beggining of a new console generation. Also, keep in mind that MediaCreate and VGChartz don't have data on the digital sales(Ishin! is the first title, after 1&2 HD, that receives a Digital Version).

Just as a curiosity, 319k units of the PS4 were sold on its first week at the Japan. It means that, so far, 4 in every 10 owners of the console in Japan have the game, also just counting the physical versions of the game.

While it seems a positive start, we need to wait the publish of official numbers from Sega to mesure the success of the release, which must occur in May 2014. Stay tunned in Tojo HQ to any new information!
